OS&D Policy

All Zenith team members are unmatched in their dedication to provide the highest quality service. We conduct frequent quality assurance programs with input from everyone involved in the process and take extra precautions when loading and unloading your merchandise. In the unlikely event that a damage does occur, we accept responsibility for carrier caused damages and closely follow the repair work for timely reshipment. Our cargo damage procedures are outlined below:
  • The driver will call our office at the time of delivery when the damage is found. We will assign him a control number that will stay with the merchandise until it is returned to your company.
  • The damaged furniture will be returned to our facility in North Carolina.
  • Our in-house experienced furniture craftsman will inspect the piece and order any replacement parts needed.
  • The damaged furniture will be repaired in a timely manner and returned to you on the next available delivery.
  • The freight charges will remain on the original freight bill; therefore, the repaired furniture will be sent to you on a free astray basis.
  • If damaged piece is determined to be unrepairable, Zenith will order replacement from the manufacturer to be billed to us and ship no charge back to the customer.
In the event that you feel you need to have any damaged furniture repaired at your location, please contact our OS&D department at the time of delivery. We have limitations allowable on the outside repairs; therefore, we require an estimate of the labor charges before any repairs are made.

Should the dealer be unable to determine the cause of damage as freight or manufacturer, the piece will be returned to our facility and then delivered to the manufacturer for inspection. If an agreement as to the cause of the damage cannot be made, the cost of repairs or replacement will be divided evenly between Zenith and the Consignee.

Any concealed damages must be reported within thirty days (30) and those goods must be held in their original packaging for our inspection. Contact our OS&D department.
